A great example of a Silvaner Alte Reben from Weingut H. Bastian. Alte Reben means old vines, generally over 30 years old, which adds a welcome complexity to the wine. The Silvaner grape is generally fruitier than Riesling. Dry and complex but still light enough to be refreshing on a warm day. Great with salads, fish and on its own.
